We recently picked our cat Willow up and she's been meowing and yesterday morning she actually hissed at me. That was my signal that something was wrong with her. I dropped her off at the vet and she had all sorts of tests done on her. Turns out that her PH was off and she has crystals in her bladder/urinary trac and she also has an infection going because of it. My poor baby! She's back from the vet now and she's got a new kind of dry food for urinary problems she'll be eating for the rest of her life. It's EXPENSIVE! For a large bag (the sort you throw over your shoulder it's so heavy) it costs about $45. Now I have to find a clever way to feed her this food, while keeping her out of the bowl of other food that she can't have any more. If you have suggestions, let me know. So far I've come up with the idea to feed them at the same time and just watch them twice a day. A pain, but it'll get the job done. Or... I also thought of feeding them seperately as one is locked up in the bathroom. I think I may do the latter. Willow has pain medicine injected into her. She also has an oral pain med I have to give her every day. She's getting all of the cuddling soft and loving attention she can handle right now. She was "nursing/milk treading" at my side so much last night I could hardly sleep!
Mom died yesterday at around 5pm. Got woken up with that news. Been feeling really dead inside ever since. Family came together last night to help me feel better. It was nice and it did help some. I don't know what else to write other than i'll be heading down to Florida very very soon to take care of things.
This past week, I got news that my mother had 2 - 3 weeks to live. She's dying of Cancer that has spread all over her body. So... preperations have started. Planning has begun and I'm just so damn sad. I already lost my father. Now my mother is going to meet him. At least she wont' be suffering.
Our friend had to put her other cat to sleep today. Same day exactly 2 weeks later. Little creepy. Really sad. He had a tumor that had started bleeding. She woke up this morning to him screaming in pain. She drove him to the 24 hour emergency center in town here and a few hours later, decided to put him down. The vet only gave the cat a few days at max to live anyway, so I thought it was the best idea as well. She lost 2 cats in 2 weeks. It's gotta majorly suck. I actually stayed in the room for when they put this guy down. Gilly was his name. Gilgamesh was his full name. I felt that I owed him a goodbye. He was a good kitty friend to me. Rest in peace Gilly. We'll all miss ya boy. P.S. Don't let Tasha kill you.
Putting a cat to sleep, even though it's not my cat is very difficult to handle. Me, being an emotional person, teared up and was crying at the vets this afternoon at 4pm. Her cat had cancer and she had yellow skin, wasn't eating. She was really bad for some time. Today was the day her suffering ended. I hope she rests in peace up there in kitty heaven. Cost her nearly $200 for single creamation service so that she can get her ashes back. They did a really good job at the vets. Banfield, inside of Petsmart. They acted completely professional and even kissed the cat goodbye. Many of them were tearing up, mostly because the cats' owner was crying and in pain something awful from this situation. I'm pretty sad right now. I'm trying to distract myself in my own cat. She's helping. She sat in my lap when I came home and pretty much had herself planted there.
Ok, well on Friday, drama decided to show itself. We try to avoid it, but eventually it finds us. Well our friend has 2 cats and they're getting on in age. Well her one cat has cancer of the liver and it's spread to her lymph nodes. She's terribly thin and you can't even tell she's a cat anymore, really. What pisses me off is that our friend took SO long to decide to put her down. She didn't want to lose her cat, which I can totally understand, I have 2 of my own here. But come on! While she's contemplating all of this, the cat is sick, suffering and it's just cruel and heartless! We think that once the female cat is gone, her other cat may be fast to go as well from heartbreak. He's already not taking it well, he's showing agression. I brought over a fuzzy mouse covered in cat nip to help him be happy for now. She didn't even thank me or anything. Whatever, she's going through a lot of shit right now and I'm just about done with it. People in my family are being hospitalized, breaking up in their relationships and my mother, inevitably is dying. My mother is 76 pounds. 76! How much of that weight do you think is bones? I'm guessing 50 pounds of bones. I'm losing my insanity and I'm losing my mother. Anything else life wanna throw at me? Because I'm not sure if I can take it.
Am I interested? Chances are, no... and in this case, hell no! I get this call at 2 pm, which is when I normally sleep, being a 3rd shifter. I get an automated message asking me if I'm interested in lowering my interest rate. They tell me to press 1 if I am. Just to press 1. They give me no other fucking options!? Ok... fiiiine, I press 1 so that I can tell them to stop calling me. I get this guy, who sounds like he's from a 3rd world country and he asks me, "Hello. Did you press 1 to lower your interest rate?" WHAT THE FUCK!?! What ELSE am I going to press you twat!? I respond, "Yes, hi I'd like you to put me on your do not call list." You know what he does? Do you? He slams the phone down, hanging up on ME. He fucking hung up on me! He's the one who called me, interupting my peace and sleep in my own home, trying to advertise some shit that I probably didn't want, even if it was a fair deal! You want to advertise? Send me a piece of mail or somethin! I don't mind a phone call during the day, as long as it's worth my time to get up. Like if it were family or a friend. No... I get this dumb shit interupting me. If you work for a company that does anything remotely like that... lemmie tell you, you have a sick and sorry job. You're lucky that I'm not near you right now or I'd tell you a few things! FUCK! *Storms off to try to get back to sleep*
Well, I decided to start some posts called "Bitch Fest", because that's what they are. Today's Bitch Fest is brought to you by, Mc Donalds!
Right. Well I suppose you're wondering why I'm about to bitch about Mc Donalds, right?
The other day while I was on break at work, I decided to actually go to Mc Donalds to get some food. It was about 2am and my Manager was going to get food as well. I get over there and start ordering and the person at the drive through says "I'm sorry, but we don't have cheeseburgers". What?! I just sat there for a moment, dumbfounded! I'm going to Mc Donalds and they don't have cheeseburgers!? I made them explain. Apparently, after 12 midnight they stop serving, nearly everything. They don't have cheeseburgers, Big Macs or the sort. What do they have you're asking? Chicken Nuggets. Yep! Hope you're in the mood for chicken, because that's what they've got for ya! It's friggin ridiculous! Believe me, I will be contacting Mc Donalds to find out why they're doing this stupid ass thing. They might as well close their business all together at night if they're only serving like one thing.

Well, today my luck sure did show itself! While I was at Walmart this morning, I saw that they had some Pokemon plushies in the crane machine. On the way out (when I got some change) I tried the machine. Wow was luck with me! I got a Pikachu, Chimchar and a Croagunk! In total, I spent $3. It was only .50 a try, so that's not bad! $1 each! The Pikachu, I amazed Alabar on. Pikachu was siting all the way in the back of the machine. I used the claw to tip the plushie forward and it came rolling down, all the way into the hole. Bingo! That's a tip my father taught me. Rest in peace dad, I love you.
Then, later in the morning, just as I was about to go to bed, my Record of Lodoss War P.P. cards arrived at my door that I won on E bay! These things are AWESOME! They come in a big pack of 36 cards. I got 9 packs. I think I paid $17 for them with $6 for shipping. Totally a steal! When I saw them for sale at an anime convention I went to in Canada, they were charging me $1 each card! There "seems" to be 36 cards in the set with special clear cards, randomly inserted. They also put one of the special cards on the front of each card pack. I can never get enough Deedlit/Record of Lodoss War items!

Well there's been a lot going on since I've last posted. Today is Fathers day. Boo. I just got back from the doctors. Why you ask? I had banged my thumb joint on my right hand on a metal box on a door. Fun, fun, fun. Anyway, they apparently didn't give me the right paperwork and so the doctor had to go fishing. She's not even sure that it was the right one. My hand is not broken or fractured. It is however damaged in the tendon. They gave me a splint (bulky hand wrap thing. Ick.) and told me to take Ibuprofrin for decreasing swelling. I come to find out that they require a drug screening!? I was like... whaaaa? I only have a problem with my hand! But... apparently it is all part of their workers comp. procedure. I left the house this morning at 8:30 am. I just got back at noon!
Weather
The weather here lately has really sucked! We've had tornado watches, flood warnings, hail, the whole shebang. It has rained here for about a week straight. One day we got 10" of rain! Lakes have flooded and completely emptied. Dams have failed. Flooding occured over highly used roads and thus they've been closed. Just a real mess. Yesterday we got some INSANE hail during a thunder storm! It was mostly hailing, instead of raining. The water ducts (the one's that take water away from the building) had collection piles of hail 2 hours afterward! It looked like a pile of snow at the end of the drain pipes! Let's see, June + hail = WTF? Earlier in the week, we had gone out of the house and went to the Library. We got stuck there in their tornado shelter for well over an hour. The weather had just gotten so bad that we couldn't leave. People had left their possessions inside of the Library. However, due to THEIR procedures, they couldn't open up the Library untill the warnings were lifted. So, these people were royally pissed. I would be too but... I would have taken my expensive possessions with me if they gave the call of evacuation. Duh! Oh, speaking of evacuations, some counties near here were evacuating people. Their homes got flooded out and they did it for their saftey. Least to say, there were some people who stayed behind to TRY to save their home. I'm like, what the heck are YOU gonna do to save your home from FLOODING!? *sigh* This is Deedlit, signing out.

I just finished my first day at work! *dances* It was exciting, scary and overwelming all at once! They have me training during the day so that I can be prepared to work overnight. So many things to remember! Oh there was a few moments in today where I was so overwelmed that I wish the phone would stop rining because (at the time) I didn't understand it fully. I still don't and it's still a scary thing to me. But... in time... I will be more comfortable and know what to do with it. So, gotta hang in there. First day went well! They were very pleased with how I did. Actually, some of them were surprised that I did as well as I had. I tried really hard to pay attention and learn things. I know it's really important. That's all I'm saying for today! I'm off to bed because my feet and back hate me right now. This is Deedlit79, signing off! ^,~
I went in for part 2 of the application; Skill assessment! Ugh. Nothing like asking you off the top of your head, no calculator "What is $10.03 - $7.48?" I was a dollar off on that question. It was the only one I got incorrect, thankfully! I start on the 30th, however sometime I have to train. Training will take place during the day. Then I'll be placed in my comfy 3rd shift, 10 hour, 7 day a week job. Phew! I was getting a little scared but I know that this job is something that I'm good at. I need to take a breather and chill. It was actually the first time I've ever had to get a drug test to get a job. Never before in NY did I have to do that. Maybe it's because I'm in a new state now. I've got nothing to worry about, I sure don't do any sort of street drugs! I've been up all night long working on a Furcadia portrait. This one I'm charging more for because it's simply beautiful and I think it's worth it. Here you can see the portrait in an assortment of different colors. I don't expect it to stay around, unsold for long!
I got a call from Wal-greens this morning and I got myself a job! He said that I have to stop by on Monday and pick up the drug testing stuff that's required and to talk about time slots. They called at a bad time. I was in a dead sleep, dreaming. When I wake up from a dream like that, I'm a total zombie. Sooo... yeah. Job! Yay!
While taking Alabar into work, these 3 people came out of the place where he works. They walk across the street and the tallest guy climbs the street light! When he's up there, he dangled off of it and then climbed down. Then! Oh, then they just walked back into the building! This confused the heck out of me. They went out there JUST to dangle off of the pole?
Anyway, to the topic of this entry.
The air outside is getting horribly bad. I stepped outside to start the car tonight and my lungs immediately felt heavy and it was hard to inhale. It was like that the other day too when they had the "bad air advisory" out. I don't know what's causing the local air adviseries, so I'm going to try asking the local Meteorologist. Hopefully they'll send me an e mail back. Heck, I don't know if he even has an e mail but that's something i'm going to look into.

I called one place that I applied to about a week ago. It's a garden center that's near where I live. The manager asked if he could talk to me, get to know me etc. Sort of like an interview I suppose. Wait, it was an interview. :p I'm just really excited and nervous right now. I kept dropping papers before I left for the interview. It's only a part time job, but right now I'll take anything! At least get my foot in the door of working in Wisconsin. Last I worked was in New York and that was 5 years ago. So if I get this job, I'll be a cashier! Wish me luck on this, because I really can use it! Happy & hopeful, Deedlit!
The winners of the Winter dream contest on Furcadia have been anounced officially today! Me and Alabar won 1st place of 250 golden dragonscales! Posted below are the announcements. (Just incase I lose this information in the future!)
[!E] Felorin: That might seem like a lot of scales so far. But FIRST place gets 250 Golden DragonScales, enough for a Dragon for Life! That's right, 250 DragonScales plucked one by one by Felorin from within his magical kimono sleeve, carefully folded into the shape of origami dragons, and then pounded flat again by Santa's Elves with their mallets in their north pole workshop and shaped back into the shape of DragonScales again, so that any bank will accept them - and so will Digo Market!
[!E] Felorin: Well, while we often have a tough decision to pick a First Prize winner in our Master's category, this time one dream stood out as an easy choice. It's got a great skin, music, sound effects, nice and original patching - and you can eat the gingerbread fences! That's right, our winner is Teddy Bears' Christmas by Deedlit79 with Alabar!
Felorin: This dream has more nice ideas on how to use DragonSpeak buttons, a friendly interface with help on different items, hint buttons, a web page with more hints if you get stuck, some unique activities, and a quest for the Teddy Bear king, who bears a surprising resemblance to Elvis. All in all a great piece of work - if you visit only one of our contest dreams, be sure it's this one!
Felorin: Plus it has penguins, too! :-)
[ Zarinul whispers, "Your dream and generally everything you've made rocks. xD Congratulations, you certainly earned it!" to you. ]
Emerald Flame: Congrats to everyone! Awesome job! :-)

Valentines day today. Dosen't feel like it. Oh well. Anyway... something good happened today. I got my Disney Faeries TV/DVD in the mail. They e mailed me YESTERDAY letting me know it was shipped and it arrived the next day! Wow! I've had better days... I'm not going into it though. I'm still looking for a job. I just applied to PetSmart. I really would like that job, I hope I get it.
My morning started out with my roomate waking me and Alabar up by taking a shower. >,< I was cranky most of the early parts of the day because of it. Anyway... the good parts were as follows! I got to go to TGI Fridays for lunch with Alabar, which turned out cool. I got a soup/sandwhich combo and we shared a Jack Daniels sampler. Because we go to TGI Fridays so much, we got our bill just about halfed, which was also, very awesome. Gold points card & lunch card coupons are a handy thing to have. I'm glad that I keep an eye out for programs like these. On the way home, I had to stop and get some ripe bananas to make banana bread for our neighbors. They helped us dig out of the snow on the 6th. Thank goodness that they have a snowblower or our backs would be hurting even more. So I get bananas. Thankfully they had ripe ones. They were the ONLY ripe bananas in town. I go into the gas station and they offer me a sample of their iced coffee! Ok! So I choose White Chocolate Caramel iced coffee. Mmmm, that stuff was yummy. I filled out a short survey about it and I got a coupon for a free cup of ANY size coffee/iced coffe or cappuccino! Double woo! That gas station is usually good for giving out a free sample for something. They're wise. It brings in the business! In the mail, I got the coupon I won for a free package of cream cheese from the grocery store. They have this scratch off card you get when you buy something from them. They also have codes each week in the fliers. So far I've won 3 packages of cream cheese, 1 - 2ltr bottle of soda and a $10 gift certificate! Luck certainly is on my side lately! Let's see, what else? I know, this is a lot. Err... Oh! I finally got enough points on my Disney Movie rewards program to get the prize I wanted! I'll be getting my Disney Fairys' TV/DVD combo in about 6 weeks. It's going to be a heck of a wait. I hope we'll still be living here by then. One other thing that I won was on Neopets. I actually won a real life plushie from them! I won a "Red Meerca" that's so cute! ^_^ I thought no one ever won things from their contests. There are so many people who play Neopets that the odds are slim.
I've been putting in applications to places around here that I could work 3rd shift. Today, one called me back and I just applied to it yesterday! Knowing that they're looking into my history is at least good! I hope they call back again and tell me to come in for an interview! When I found out who it was nothing but total nervousness shot through my body. It's been 5 years since I worked a job. Why? My dad died and then I have my sick/dying mother. I know, probably bad excuses but the good thing is that I have to now grow up! I have to be able to support myself and Alabar and by darnit I will! :D
